“Phonebooth Café” * Casual Dining

“Phonebooth Cafe” in Vijay Nagar – Hudson Lane is a casual dining cafe with ‘Phone Booth’ themed ambiance. As it is situated in the North Campus of Delhi University so the place is mostly crowed with students.

Got to visit there recently and the first impression was quite good. Moderate space, phone booth theme was quiet attractive and the service was quick. Hudson lane is doing quiet a good job in providing various cafes and outlets with amazing food varieties.

Phonebooth Cafe offers a wide range of cuisine right from Indian, Mexican, Chinese, European etc.

I started off with a shake. My favorites were ‘Kikat Shake’ and ‘Red Velvet Shake’. The flavors were very luscious. The sweetness of the shakes were well balanced as compared to other chocolate or flavored shakes.  

The starters were palatable too. Tried the following

# Makhani Chicekn Tikka Naanzza – The base was of a naam and more towards thin crushed pizza and garnished with Chicken Tikka along with cheese and other veg.

#Makhani Panner Tikka Naanzza – Naam Based with Paneer Tikka and vegetables.

# Dragon Kiss Pizza – 

# Zaffrano Pasta – White sauce pasta. Too good. Comes with a piece of bread.

# Dimsums (Veg/Nonveg) – Non veg Dimsums were not too great. The outer layer of flour which cover the feelings was little too thick. Resulting in making the dimsums too dry. However, on the other hand the veg dimsums were way too tasty and mouth watering. It was juicy and succulent along with the spicy dip which was indeed properly spiced up.

Main Course – 

# Dal Makhani  – Perfect Indian dish to start your main course. It was little different from any other restaurents as they tried adding some extra spices to cook the Dal. [Indian Pulses]

# Mutton Curry – The mutton was really succulent and the spices were perfectly blended. 

# Garlic Naam – Loved it

# Laccha Paratha – Too soft and flavorful.
